Queen was a five year old female we purchased her from David Hatfield in October 2010.  Her sire is Diamond Blaze (1/2 Gay & 1/2 Bedlam breeding).  She was bred by Tim Lamie.  Her dam Smith's Weedeater Jitter Bug (Hare breeding).  Queen has fit into our kennel well and is a good complement when hunting in a brace or trio with our other dogs.  She is half Northern Michigan hare breeding, a quarter Gay breeding and a quarter Bedlam breeding.  She is a good hunter and can drive a rabbit well.  She was introduced to hare on our hunting trip to Maine in 2010 and you could see the natural ability there.   Queen was bred to North Star Tenderfoot Toby and had eight pups in late January, 2011.  We kept one female from this litter (Yolanda); our son also has one female from this litter (Yetti).  This mating worked out well for us; Yolanda is a good hunting dog and has great confirmation.  The individuals that hunt their their dogs from this litter were pleased with their dogs as well.  Queen at 10 1/2 years old is now retired; she loves to hunt but has lost some of her speed and scenting ability.
